Our Core Values

1. Prayer

We are totally dependent on God and our ministry rests on prayer – Phil 4:6-7.

We can do nothing apart from Jesus Christ – John 15:5.

2. Preaching and Teaching

Proclaim Christ’s gospel – Matt 4:23.

Preach the Word – 2 Tim 4:1-2

To never cease preaching Jesus as the Christ – Acts 5:42.

We resolve to know nothing except Christ and Him crucified – 1 Cor 2:2.

3. Humble Authenticity

We seek to be what we preach and teach.

All we do, in our personal lives and our organisational structures, must demonstrate our love for Christ above all things.

“God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble” – James 4:6.

4. Striving for Excellence

So, whether we eat or drink, or whatever we do, we do it all for the glory of God – 1 Cor 10:31.

“I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. ” – Php 3:14.

Whatever we do we strive for excellence so that people’s attention is not distracted from seeing and savouring Jesus.

5. Radical Generosity

We recognise our undeserving gift of grace from our Lord through His work on the Cross and we desire to be conduits of that grace to others.

“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. ” – 2 Cor 9:7

“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” – Acts 20:35.

6. Diligence in Spiritual Warfare

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” – Eph 6:12.

We recognize the battle is a spiritual one and therefore all our efforts are directed at equipping the saints with God’s spiritual armour.

7. Spreading the Gospel

We do it all for the sake of the gospel, that we may share with them in its blessings – 1 Cor 9:23.

Our desire is to see as many people as possible experience the Christ-exalting, soul-satisfying truths and we will seek the most biblically effective ways of sharing our passion for the supremacy of God for the joy of all peoples through Christ our Lord.

8. Service to the Community

“Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.” – James 1:27

While study of God’s Word is critical, and knowledge and application of theology essential, we acknowledge that service to the community must be an identifying characteristic of our faith. Faith without works is dead.

“Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?'” – Mat 25:37
